Annual Fall Picnic Scheduled for Sunday, September 24
Christ Community Church will be holding its annual Fall Picnic at the Myerstown Rod & Gun Club recreation area on Sunday, September 24 at 12:15 p.m. (right after the worship service.) All are invited to attend. There is a sign-up sheet in the Narthex to help us get an estimate for how many people will be coming and possible side dishes that attendees may want to bring. Summer Worship Service & Picnic at Pine Acres Set for July 16
Christ Community Church will be holding its annual Summer Worship Service & Picnic at Pine Acres Park on Sunday, July 16 at 10:30 a.m. Do note that there will be no Sunday school or worship service in Myerstown that day. Our guest missionary speakers will be Jim and Janet Stahl, whose ministry focus is oral Bible storytelling with Wycliffe in the South Pacific. Food and drinks will be provided. Holy Week 2023 Schedule Announced
Christ Community Church has a variety of activities and services planned for Holy Week 2023. Transportation will be provided on Thursday and Friday for anyone who needs it, especially those who may be reluctant to drive at night. Christ Community Church will be hosting the Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 2 at 12 noon. The event will be held on the lower parking lot of Evangelical Seminary, 121 South College Street, Myerstown, PA 17067. Children ages 3-11 years old may participate. Pre-registration is necessary by calling (717) 866-5353 or contacting the church office using the contact form here. Calling All Voices: Easter Choir Now Forming
Do you enjoy praising the Lord in song? The Music & Worship Ministry is putting together a Holy Week Choir, and they would love for you to consider joining this seasonal vocal ensemble. Brief rehearsals will begin this Sunday morning, March 5, right after the worship service. The Holy Week Choir will be sharing their selections on Palm Sunday (April 2) and Easter Sunday (April 9). New Member’s Class Begins Sunday, March 19

Easter Flower Orders Due Sunday, March 12
White lilies and multi-colored mums will adorn the sanctuary again this year on Easter morning. The order form can be found in the weekly bulletin here, and a copy can be found below. Available this year are lilies (6” pot, 5 to 6 blooms) and florist mums (6” pot) in four colors: lavender, yellow, white, and pink. Cost is $6.98 each, and checks can be made out to Christ Community Church. Orders are due to Carol Keller by Sunday, March 12.
Worship Schedule for Christmas and New Year’s Day
This is one of those years where Christmas Day and New Year’s Day fall on a Sunday. For many people, that raises the question as to what our holiday worship schedule will be. Christ Community Church will hold a 1-hour worship service on each day. On Christmas morning, there will also be a special story time for the children. Christmas Eve 2022 at Christ Community Church
The Christmas Eve candlelight service at Christ Community Church is one of the highlights of our church year. Our theme this year is “The Best Headline Ever” from 1 Timothy 1:15-17. The service will be held at 7:00 p.m. and will feature traditional Christmas carols, brass, an inspiring message, and the lighting of candles during “Silent Night.” Plates for a benevolence offering will be available at the back of the sanctuary to help needy families in our community.
