Christ Community Church has a variety of activities and services planned for Holy Week 2024. Transportation will be provided on Thursday and Friday evenings for anyone who needs it, especially those who may be reluctant to drive at night. Christ Community Church will be hosting our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, March 24 at 12:30 p.m. The event will be held on the lower lawn of the church (behind the building), located at 121 South College Street, Myerstown, PA 17067. The Christmas Eve candlelight service at Christ Community Church is one of the highlights of our church year. Our theme this year is “Christmas Right on Time” from Galatians 4:4-7. The service will be held at 7:00 p.m. and will feature traditional Christmas carols, brass, an inspiring message, and the lighting of candles during “Silent Night.”   Nursery service will be available. Fear is a universal emotion. And it’s not all bad. Good fear protects us from danger and prevents us from hurting ourselves. We need it to stay safe. But that’s not the only kind of fear we experience in life.   Bad fear paralyzes us from doing what we ought to do and provokes us into doing what we ought not to do. Christ Community Church will be joining with Zion United Methodist in Myerstown to host our annual Trunk or Treat outreach on Saturday, October 28 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. The event will be held in the main parking lot of Christ Community Church (enter from Park Avenue). Decorate your trunk and fill it with candy, goodies, and prizes—which we will be collecting at church in the weeks leading up to October 28. MEN OF ADVENTURE LIFE GROUP Men are challenged in this Life Group to excel in their walk with the Lord. They meet at Kirby Keller’s home at 7:00 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month. Our next adventure is Thursday, September 14. WOMEN OF FAITH LIFE GROUP Women are encouraged in this Life Group to deepen their walk with the Lord. The Church Fellowship Breakfasts resume this coming Saturday, September 9 at 8:30 a.m. in Zinn Commons (on the ground floor). These events are wonderful opportunities to enjoy good fellowship over a hot meal. A sign-up sheet (for those attending and those bringing a dish) is located in the church narthex. Come make connections that can last a lifetime. Note: Church Family Breakfasts usually fall on the first Saturday of each month, but this event has been moved to the second Saturday because of the Labor Day holiday weekend. Christmas ornaments will be made available in the Narthex on Sunday, September 10, 17, and 24. These ornaments will serve as containers for cash or checks (made out to Christ Community Church). They are Christmas gifts for the missionaries supported by Christ Community Church. Take an ornament, place your gift inside, and return it to the Christmas tree by the end of September. Our Global Missions Ministry will divide the returned gifts among our  missionaries and get them to their recipients before Christmas.
