What to Expect
Welcome!
We understand that attending a new church for the first time can be a little intimidating, especially if you don’t know what to expect. We desire to make your time at Christ Community Church a positive and meaningful experience. If you choose to be our guest on a Sunday morning, here are some things you might find helpful to know before arriving.
The Worship
We’re a small but growing congregation, reveling in the love and grace of God. Hope and joy are hallmarks of our gatherings. A typical worship service will last about 75 minutes. We sing a mix of traditional hymns and newer, theologically rich praise songs with light instrumentation. We also spend some time listening to the Scriptures being read, and reciting some of them responsively as printed in the bulletin and projected onto the screen. Holy Communion is served seven times a year.
The Word
You’ll also hear a message that is faithful to Scripture and relevant to our day. We trust you’ll also find a variety of good Bible ministries for children, students, and adults. Childcare is provided as needed, and we’re looking to ramp up some of our ministries as the pandemic improves in our area. All are welcome, and those with a “pioneering spirit” are needed to help us extend our reach.
The Wardrobe
No one at Christ Community Church is fixated on clothing. Some people wear jeans, and others are more formal, but most are somewhere in between. “Business casual” might be a good way to describe it. The common thread is Jesus Christ, so come as you are! Then plan to hang around after the worship service to fellowship and meet new people.
Thank You!
