Christ Community Church has a variety of services and activities planned for Holy Week 2026, which begins on Palm Sunday, March 29.
Transportation may be provided on Thursday and Friday nights for anyone who needs it, especially those who may be reluctant to drive at night. Simply contact Pastor Tim if you would like a ride, and he will try to arrange it for you.
Holy Week can be one of the most significant times of a church’s worship year. During these special days, we clear our calendar to focus exclusively on the events of Christ’s suffering, death, and resurrection, which are at the very heart of our Christian faith. Our attention during this special week is directed toward the person and work of Jesus Christ as:
-
the triumphant yet humble King of kings (Palm Sunday);
-
the divine Servant and Mediator of the new covenant (Maundy Thursday);
-
the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (Good Friday); and
-
Christus Victor—the risen Savior of the human race (Easter Sunday).
Beyond these four holiday worship services, Christ Community Church will be holding:
-
a Children’s Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, March 29 at 12:30 p.m.
-
an Optional Pre-service Footwashing on Thursday, April 2 at 6:30 p.m.
-
a Showing of The Passion of the Christ film on Friday, April 3 at 4:30 p.m.
-
a Continental Breakfast on Easter Sunday, April 5 at 9:00 a.m. in lieu of Sunday school.
As Christ Community Church has cleared its calendar for Holy Week 2026, we strongly encourage parishioners to do the same to be able to participate in these worship experiences that re-present the very heart of our Christian faith.
